Well if you're using a common proxy server, any site that you visit can see proxy server's IP and your IP too. And when you are using anonymous proxy server site only sees IP of the proxy server. Anyways, enough of the theory. Let's see how it works for real.
At first google "free proxy server list". You'll find some sites with a gigantic mass of proxy servers. Then, you need to check them. The checking program should be on the same site, where the proxy servers are. This program will show is the server online and what kind of server is it. We need "anonymous proxy server".
If you found a working one write it down in your browser. If you don't know where it is or how to use it just google it. For example "proxy Firefox".
Then check it. How do you do that? Just load a random site. Because not every checked proxy works fast and some take like 10 minutes to load a page.
Anyways, if your proxy works pretty good, go to your rapidshare link. And what a surprise, you can download that file now! But there are also situations that somebody is using that proxy too. Well, just find another proxy server.
And even if you're downloading one file, you can switch your proxy server to another one and download once more. Like 10 files at a time. Cool, isn't it?
